Find the cause before repeating the same attempt

A Edit PDF failure can come from the input file, an unsupported feature, a configured limit, device memory, or a result that cannot meet the requested condition. Repeating identical settings rarely changes that cause.

What happens to an existing digital signature? Saving any edit changes the PDF and invalidates its existing cryptographic signature. The editor warns when it detects a digital signature and cannot preserve that signature.
