Which PDF form fields can I fill?

Text fields, checkboxes, radio groups, dropdowns, and option lists are supported. Read-only, button, signature, and unknown fields are not editable here.

Can I fill a scanned paper form?

Not as an interactive form unless the scan contains actual form fields. Use Edit PDF for visible overlay text when appropriate.

Why were no form fields detected?

The PDF may be scanned, flattened, use unsupported XFA/custom fields, or simply contain no interactive controls.

Should I flatten the completed form?

Flatten only when a non-interactive copy is needed. Keep an editable source if future changes may be required.

Does PDFKaka change the original form?

No. PDF Forms creates a separate still-interactive output and leaves the source form unchanged.
