Treat redaction verification as a separate step: inspect pages, search original terms, test selection, and compare with the sensitive source list.
Apply the supported text redactions
- Choose a PDF containing selectable text and enter each literal term on its own line.
- Share only the verified copy and never rely on a black appearance alone.
- Choose whether matching should respect uppercase and lowercase.
Use an independent result check
Do not treat a completed progress indicator in Redact PDF as the final quality check. Save the output, reopen it outside the active workspace, and compare the parts that matter with the original.
Verification should match the risk: page order and readability for ordinary files, exact field values for forms, and stronger checks for signatures, redaction, or sensitive content.

Can Redact PDF find text inside a scanned image?
No. The current Redact PDF workflow does not perform OCR. A scan must first contain suitable selectable text for text-based matching to work.

What does Redact PDF create?
