How to fix PDF page order, orientation, margins, and numbering

Organize the document structure

Add all required PDFs to Organize PDF, move pages into sequence, remove duplicates, and rotate obvious sideways scans.

  1. Add the source PDFs.
  2. Move, rotate, or remove pages.
  3. Create and review the organized PDF.

Correct page orientation and margins

Rotate PDF is fastest when only orientation is wrong. Crop PDF changes the visible page area and supports shared or page-specific margins.

  1. Use Rotate PDF for quarter turns.
  2. Use Crop PDF for unwanted page edges.
  3. Check every page with unusual dimensions.

Add final numbering

Once pages are in their final order, use Page Numbers to choose the starting number, label, position, and text size.

  1. Open the final organized PDF.
  2. Set the numbering options.
  3. Download and verify the first and last page numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping reduce PDF image quality?

Crop PDF changes visible page boundaries without converting the retained page content into an image.

Should page numbers be added before reordering?

Usually no. Add them after the final page order is stable so the numbers match the finished document.
