How to resize an image to a required KB size
A KB requirement is a maximum file size, while width and height are pixel dimensions. Some forms require one or both constraints.

Read the upload requirements carefully
Check the accepted format, maximum KB size, width, height, aspect ratio, and whether the image must remain suitable for identity or document review.
- Write down the required KB limit.
- Record any required dimensions.
- Keep the original image unchanged.
Resize dimensions before lowering quality
A camera image may contain far more pixels than an online form needs. Reducing dimensions can save substantial space before stronger JPEG compression is necessary.
- Open Image Resizer.
- Enter the target dimensions or choose the size mode.
- Set the maximum KB value and generate a preview.
Inspect the final JPEG
Zoom into faces, document text, edges, and fine details. Very low targets can introduce blur or compression blocks, and PNG transparency is flattened in the JPEG result.
- Download the resized JPEG.
- Confirm its file size and dimensions.
- Repeat with a larger target if essential detail is unclear.
