Annotate PDF adds a visible review mark and optional note to the output. It does not automatically rewrite the underlying PDF text.
Annotate PDF is a focused review tool that places a coloured page-width highlight band on one selected page and can include a short note. It produces a new shareable copy while leaving the source document unchanged.
Use the visible band to draw attention to a relevant area or page in a report, assignment, proof, or approval workflow.
Include a concise comment with the annotation so the recipient understands why the page was marked.
This version does not provide freehand drawing, arbitrary text selection, or a full multi-annotation workspace. It applies one focused page annotation per run.
Yes. Add a supported highlight and optional note without registration.
No. The current tool creates a page-width highlight band rather than a freehand or text-selection highlight.
No. It creates a new annotated copy and leaves the selected source document unchanged.
A visible note is useful when one page needs a short explanation, correction, or review marker that remains visible in the downloaded PDF.
Select one page, choose a Top, Centre or Bottom highlight band, enter a short optional note and download a new copy. The note is visible page content, not a hidden or threaded comment.
The note uses a fixed-size font inside a horizontal band. Long wording can wrap beyond the useful marked area, so a short reference such as a section name and requested action is easier to review. Use Edit PDF when you need freely positioned text boxes, drawings or several marks across pages.
Annotate PDF offers fixed Top, Centre and Bottom bands. Use Edit PDF for freely positioned new text.
No. The note is drawn visibly into the downloaded page.
The current Annotate PDF job targets one selected page.
Touch controls can place a simple visible mark on one PDF page, but the mobile workflow has the same narrow annotation scope as desktop.
Choose a PDF from phone or tablet storage, select a page and one of three band positions, add an optional note and save the marked copy. Keep the tab open until processing completes.
The band has three fixed positions and is not a finger-drawn highlighter. Browser file pickers and download locations vary, so confirm the saved filename before sharing. If you need a smaller free-position mark, switch to Edit PDF; changing zoom does not turn this band into a text-selection control.
No. This tool uses a fixed band. Edit PDF has a separate drawing tool.
The browser uses its normal Downloads or Files flow; reopen the saved copy to confirm.
No. The band is positioned at Top, Centre or Bottom on one chosen page.
PDFKaka's annotation control marks a horizontal area on one page; it does not select individual words like a desktop text highlighter.
Choose one page and a Top, Centre or Bottom horizontal band, then optionally add a short visible note. Individual words and irregular shapes are not selected by this tool.
A full-width band can cross both columns of a report and does not follow a wrapped sentence. It can be useful for broad page-level emphasis, while an editor with freely positioned marks is better for a narrow table cell or several scattered passages. The text beneath remains in the PDF; highlighting does not redact it.
No. The current control uses a fixed horizontal band on one page.
No. It is a visible overlay; underlying content remains.
The current band size is fixed by the page; the available placement choices are Top, Centre and Bottom.
